Reader Asks Ageless Beauty Opinion on DermaWand and Dr. Stanley Jacobs Mandelic Acid Serum

There are a couple things I want to try. I’d appreciate your comments.

One is the DermaWand RHF and something I'd never heard of, Stanley Jacobs Visco-Elastic Transforming Serum.

Saw them both on ShopNBC. Reviews there were mostly good and I checked out reviews on different sites. Good part is that I can return both.

Have you ever heard of Stanley Jacobs, I think a cosmetic doctor?

Julie

Stanley Jacobs Visco-Elastic Transforming SerumHi Julie,

You’ll find our DermaWand Review here.

Stanley Jacobs M.D. is a prominent plastic surgeon in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Jacobs is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Stanley Jacobs Visco-Elastic Transforming Serum Background

Stanley Jacobs Visco-Elastic Transforming Serum is the first in his line of skin care products.

Dr. Jacobs partnered with Jules Zecchino, former Vice-President of Innovation and Applied Research at Estee Lauder, to formulate the serum.

He has conducted two very small clinical studies with his patients and presented his findings at the February 2010 American Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery in Boston (Facial Skin Visco-elasticity Measurements after Topical Mandelic Acid).

Together, Drs. Jacobs and Zecchino have founded World Skin, LLC to further develop and market the Stanley Jacobs skin care line.

Come back tomorrow for details on the clinical trials and our review of the product, Stanley Jacobs Visco-Elastic Transforming Serum.

Just got my DermaWand and the Dr. Stanley Jacobs serum today. Read the brochure on the DW first, looked at what I received - there were 3 items included, DW products, that there is no mention about them - a microdermabrasion, a second cleansing cream. There's also a lip cream but it tells about using it. I watched the CD and it isn't exactly like the brochure as far as instructions go. Washed my face and started the CD. It's a pain to try to use the DW along with the CD - especially since I don't see well without glasses. I have to stop it after a set of instructions to do the number of times it says to do and then do the other side. Then, the derma prep - to keep DW from dragging - dries up quickly, have to stop and reapply. I'll need to figure out a moisture cream I have that won't dry out. It'll be ok once I get the hang of it. Just wondering now about the negative aspects. I know I won't over use. Was wondering about when to apply my skin care products and tonight I did the DW first then applied their hydra-fusion and skin quench. I see where I should have done my routine then do the DW. Now, it's wait and see about the Dr. Stanley Jacobs serum.

Thank you, Girlie. You're not anywhere near Ageless Beauty status yet, but it's smart to stay on top of the anti-aging developments ;-)

Sharon, You might offer to rewrite the instructions for the DW company. lol.

Please let us know what you think of the DermaWand after using it for a bit.

Only been using the DermaWand about 3 days now so not enough time to see results - I guess. If I heard how long to start seeing results I don't remember. Guess I'll try to check that out. If and when I do see any results I will let you know.

Oh, and about the instructions. I think watching the video is to get the general ideal of how to use the DermaWand - just brief demonstrations. Then reading the included instruction you better understand written instructions. But for DW's information I would like to see a step by step, using it the time it should be used and where on a video.

"An", you really should relay those suggestions to the DW company.

I may do that myself if this thread of interest in DW continues.

Thank you!
